LHC went online today

Today at 7:00 AM UTC the LHC went online and sent the first particles on their journey of 27km underneath the earth of France and Switzerland (at the moment just in one direction). The LHC is the biggest particle accelerator and the world’s most expensive science experiment. Today you can find the news of the “going live” everywhere. Even goolge (picture) changed their main picture today. Also funny: The scientists made a little rap video a while ago on Youtube.

So as a little science nerd I’ve just following to say: Congratulations LHC team and let the protons crash together!
